Description :
This park offers a nice compromise of enclosed toddler area (featuring roundabout, small climbing frame and slide, large rope swing, various see-saws and ground-painted hopscotch and snakes and ladders), open older children’s area and plenty of green space to kick a ball, run around or simply sit with a picnic. Tables and benches are in situ around the area, and the soft playground surfacing ensures that any falls are fairly well-cushioned; good news for small knees.
Parking and food facilities are excellent with the park backing onto the large Scarborough Sainsbury’s store, and it also boasts one of the town’s only two legal graffiti art areas, a popular scene for community collaborations and murals.
Facilities for older children include swings, tyre swing, large modern climbing frame with slide, swing bars and roundabout. This play area would be suitable from toddling age through to teens, given that the area also encapsulates the ever- popular Sainsbury’s basketball courts which are used for a variety of sports
